Yes, the Archives is open to the public. However, all researchers planning a visit should contact the Archives reference staff in advance, as material may be stored off-site and/or be subject to access restrictions. The reference staff will provide information about access to Pusey Library as well. Please use Ask an Archivist to contact the reference staff.

You will need a current Harvard ID in order to enter Pusey Library. If you do not have one, you can obtain a temporary ID at the Widener Library Access and Borrowing Office, accessible through the main entrance of Widener Library across the yard from Tercentenary Theater. Please see the online map for more detail. The staff of the Access and Borrowing Office will help you obtain the proper credentials to gain access to Pusey Library.
